Had a '94 "Truck," and currently own a Tacoma

I think they finally named the small trucks "Tacomas" in 1995.

What a fantastic truck! I really only had one problem with it, and that was several broken teeth on the timing chain sprocket. But I had already purchased a "dual roller" chain system from LC Engineering several months before I had that issue, so I was prepared. The 20R engines had "dual roller" timing chains, but they had transitioned to "single rollers" with the 22RE. (Maybe also with the 22R?) Guessing that move was for fuel economy or cost, but it inserted a weak point into the engine.

Taught myself to do valve adjustments on that engine.
